SAVE+WATER HIGH TEA EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS
Kristina Williams (below, in the white hat) was unsure how she could take part in the SAVE+WATER Campaign from the time it was launched at her church, The Gathering Place. Providentially, it was during a sleepless night a few weeks back while battling an illness that her idea came. A High Tea!
On Saturday, Kristina hosted her Tea and welcome a few dozen women to her home, charging $10 each. Kristina, her two daughters, and several friends donated their time and resources to host this amazing event and donated the $600 raised to the SAVE+WATER Campaign. Reflecting on the experience, Kristina said,
“It was amazing to work with my two daughters to show them what we could do with just a little bit of effort.”
The ultimate goal of our campaigns is the impact we are able to make in the lives of the Arsi Oromo people. When we can provide a mother and daughter, and friends, the opportunity to serve with one another, it is icing on the cake. Or in this case, crumpets!
As Kristina noted, never underestimate the power of a little bit of effort. Share your SAVE+WATER experience on our Facebook Page or email your story to [email protected]
